Welcome to my Winnipeg photography home studio, which has a specific natural based colour palette to ensure the look is always unique, natural, timeless and classic (with a hint of colour!). My studio follows strict sanitization steps to ensure your family’s safety; steaming of props and floors, washing of materials and supply of sanitizer in studio. I use high quality products and props, as well as baby safe materials.
All newborns are best photographed between 5 – 12 days old; with maximum being 8 weeks old. Please note that any newborns past 21 days old will require an extended session, therefore it is best to upgrade your package.

Please note that most of my props can fit max 4.5 kgs. I have limited ‘large’ props which can fit up to 5.5kgs

How do I Sing Up For The Shoot?

To make an appointment for a shooting, you need to sent me through the form in the Contact tab or by texting me on (204) 894-5105 with the following information:

1) Your full name
2) Contact phone number
3) Name of the selected shooting package
4) Who will be the main character of the shooting (newborn boy/girl, family, etc.)
5) Date of the due date (for shooting newborn babies) or the age of the child (for any other children’s shooting)

To confirm your appointment, you must make 50% deposit within one week from the date of registration for the shooting.

With regard to newborn photo shoots: we make an appointment initially according to the due date, we approve the preliminary date of shooting. Next, you need to inform me as soon as the baby is born, and if necessary, we will adjust the date of the shoot in order to have time to conduct a photo shoot before 1 month.

Pre-Session Chat

A little prep talk goes a long way! Please take a moment before the session to share with me. Tell me about your family dynamics, your child’s interests, daily routines, and any specific needs or preferences. Your insights are invaluable in helping me tailor the session to your family’s unique story, ensuring I capture your essence perfectly.

What Should You Take With you to Newborn Shoot?

1) A pacifier (even if the baby does not take the pacifier or if you do not give the pacifier, during the shooting process the pacifier can quickly soother / rock the baby and provide him with additional comfort so that the shooting goes faster, easier and calmer).

2)Food (if baby is on formula or mixed feeding, be sure to take formula or expressed milk with you.

3) Light clothing for parents (since the room is heated for shooting babies, adults can be hot). Also, for joint shots with your baby, you can take T-shirts/bodysuits/t-shirts/shirts in plain or pastel colors.

4) Diapers and wet wipes

5) If your baby is bothered by colic/gas, please take with you the product you give for the tummy.

6) It is better to dress your baby for the trip in something that can be easily removed, so that you can easily undress the baby without waking up if baby is sleeping when you arrive for the shoot.

Most Frequently Asked Questions

1) What is the ideal age for newborn photography?
You can take photographs starting from the moment of discharge from the hospital. The ideal age for newborn photo shoot– 7-12 days. In general, newborn photography is carried out at the age of 0 to 1-1.5 months (maximum), but the earlier, the better.

2) How soon should I book my newborn session?
We all know that babies don’t generally come on time, so booking a solid date doesn’t work, however knowing your due date and calling to book in ahead of time allows me to leave open days to capture your little peanut while he or she is still new. I suggest booking as soon as your second trimester is complete.

3) What should we do if we signed up for a shoot, and the baby’s skin began to peel, or pimples or redness appeared, or there were red birthmarks after childbirth, or there were postpartum hematomas on the head?
All of the above troubles are NOT a reason to cancel or postpone the shoot. All skin imperfections, as a rule, can be removed by processing images in Photoshop. If you still have doubts, send me a photo of the baby, and I can tell you for sure whether it will be possible to hide certain imperfections when processing the images.

4) How long does a photo session with a child last?
As long as the child is in the mood to play and take pictures, you can continue filming. As a rule, photographing babies from 3 to 6 months takes 1-2 hours. Newborn photo sessions usually take 2-3 hours, but I try, if possible, not to strictly limit such photo sessions in time, because, photographing babies, you have to adapt to their individual mood and schedule, take breaks for feeding, changing clothes, etc. Sometimes, you just need to wait for the moment and there is no need to rush.

5) Will it be possible to feed the baby during session?
Yes, sure. Photographing newborns is therefore not strictly limited in time, because we often pause to change clothes, feed, hold the baby, rock the baby, etc.

6) Is it possible to take photos/video with your phone while filming?
Yes, you can, but without the flash built into the phone. Moreover, I will be very grateful to you (and I will even edit 1-2 additional photos for free) if you send me a backstage photo or video from our shoot.

7) What if the baby doesn’t sleep during the shoot?
If the baby does not sleep, we will photograph baby awake. This takes a little longer, because it is impossible to ask the baby to pose and you just have to watch baby and catch interesting emotions and facial expressions.
